These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MarineDocsAI (the "Service"), operated by Creative Nook SRL, a company incorporated under Romanian law ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

MarineDocsAI is an AI-assisted platform that helps vessel operators and ship managers reconstruct, supplement, and manage compliance documentation for lifting appliances and onboard equipment under SOLAS II-1/3-13 and related regulations. The Service provides Quick-Audit reports, Manual Addenda, Full Reconstruction packages, and a Fleet Compliance Dashboard.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or the organisation you represent. By creating an account you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and up to date.

3. Accounts & Access

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations;
  • Upload documents containing malware or malicious code;
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service or its outputs at scale;
  • Misrepresent the origin, ownership, or accuracy of documents you submit;
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent.

5. Intellectual Property

All platform software, design, and branding are the exclusive property of Creative Nook SRL. Reports and documents generated by the Service based on your inputs are licensed to you for your internal use. You retain ownership of documents and data you upload.

6. Payments & Refunds

Paid services are invoiced in advance. All fees are in EUR and exclusive of applicable VAT. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Completed AI-generated reports are non-refundable once delivered, except where required by applicable consumer protection law. Contact [email protected] within 7 days of purchase if you believe there is a billing error.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". AI-generated documentation is a drafting aid only and does not constitute legal or regulatory advice. You are solely responsible for verifying that any documentation produced meets the requirements of the flag state, class society, and relevant port state control authorities before use. We do not warrant that outputs will be free of errors or that the Service will be uninterrupted.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Creative Nook SRL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party providers including Anthropic (AI processing), Stripe (payments), and MinIO-compatible object storage. Your use of these components is also subject to their respective terms of service.

10. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, without prejudice to any other remedies we may have. On termination, your right to use the Service ceases; data retention is governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Romania, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under EU law.
