One document is a fix. A dashboard is a system.
Getting a Surveyor Prep Pack solves today's PSC inspection. The Fleet Dashboard solves compliance permanently, tracking every load test, thorough examination, and renewal survey across your entire fleet, with real-time RAG status and SOLAS gap analysis per equipment item.
When you upload a document to a logged-in account, the AI automatically extracts equipment data and populates your fleet records. Your dashboard builds itself.
Free for up to 3 vessels. Need more? Fleet Pro covers up to 10 vessels for €300/month or €3,000/year.
Fleet-level RAG status
Every vessel shows a Red / Amber / Green compliance indicator across all lifting appliances. Spot problems fleet-wide at a glance.
Due-date calendar
5-year load tests, annual thorough examinations, and renewal surveys tracked automatically. No more spreadsheets, no more missed deadlines.
SOLAS gap analysis per item
Click any equipment to see a full clause-by-clause SOLAS II-1/3-13 compliance check: SWL documentation, marking, proof load records, examination dates.
Auto-link from uploads
When you upload a certificate or manual for a logged-in account, the AI extracts equipment data and automatically populates your fleet records.
Red doesn't just mean the deadline is soon — it means this documentation gap will detain the vessel at the next port call.
Not just documents. Knowledge-grounded compliance.
Every manual we generate is backed by a structured maritime equipment ontology, mapping equipment types to components, failure modes, regulatory clauses, and inspection methods. The AI doesn't guess which clauses apply. It knows.
Maritime ontology
The AI knows exactly which rules apply to your crane, davit, or winch - because a structured maritime ontology maps each equipment type to its components, failure modes, and the precise clauses that govern it. 164 nodes · 21 standards · 32 equipment types.
Factual grounding
The compliance engine applies the MSC.1/Circ.1663 proof-load formula against your equipment SWL, computes the safety factor + criticality, and flags any test load that doesn't match. Inspection intervals and clause references come straight from the ontology, not from the model.
Sources consulted
Every document includes inline citation markers: [R1] for regulatory standards, [P1] for photos, [D1] for uploaded certificates. Flip to the Sources & Evidence appendix to see exactly what informed each value. Full reconstruction includes nameplate photo thumbnails.
Compliance heatmap
Per-vessel RAG matrix by due date across your fleet. See which load tests are overdue, which exams are imminent, and which vessels need attention first. Coloured dots, not spreadsheets.
Ask your fleet
"Which cranes haven't had a load test in 4 years?" Type a question in plain English and get instant answers from your fleet data. No SQL, no filters. Just ask.
Generation audit trail
Every order has a full audit trail: what was extracted, which ontology clauses matched, QC score, and PDF render time. Click "Audit" on any order to see exactly how your document was built.
Provenance trail
Every line cites its source ([R] regulatory, [O] ontology, [D] document, [P] photo, [V] voice). Flip to the Sources & Evidence appendix to trace any value back to where it came from.
Standards coverage
SOLAS · ISM · MARPOL · EEXI · IACS CSR. Clauses mapped through the ontology so the AI generates content grounded in the rules that actually apply to your equipment.
164 knowledge nodes. 158 typed relationships.
Our maritime equipment ontology maps every equipment type to its components, failure modes, applicable regulations, and inspection methods, so the AI generates manuals grounded in facts, not guesses.

Frequently asked questions
SOLAS II-1/3-13 deadline? What is the SOLAS II-1/3-13 deadline and does it affect my vessel?
Enforced from 1 Jan 2026. PSC checks for current O&M manuals on cranes, winches, davits, derricks. Without them, risk of detention.SOLAS II-1/3-13 requires that all lifting appliances and anchor handling equipment on cargo and passenger vessels have up-to-date operation and maintenance manuals. Enforcement is live from 1 January 2026. PSC inspections now specifically check for this documentation. If your vessel has cranes, winches, davits, or derricks without current manuals, you are at risk of detention at the next port call.
What's “class-ready”?What does 'class-ready' mean?
Drafted to meet DNV / BV / LR / ABS / ClassNK / CCS submission requirements. Surveyor authenticates.Class-ready means the document is structured to meet the submission requirements of major classification societies (DNV, Bureau Veritas, Lloyd's Register, ABS, ClassNK, CCS). The document is delivered as a draft for your Class Surveyor to review and authenticate. We do not issue class approval. That is the surveyor's role. Our documents are designed to pass review on first submission.
How fast? How fast is the turnaround?
Quick-Audit: instant. Prep Pack / Full Reconstruction: under 10 min after intake.Quick-Audit results are instant. Surveyor Prep Packs and Full Reconstructions are generated in under 10 minutes after you complete the intake. Snap a nameplate photo, upload your documents, and the PDF is ready before the surveyor finishes their coffee. Complex cases with unusual equipment may require manual review.
Fleet Dashboard really free? What is the Fleet Dashboard and is it really free?
Free up to 3 vessels. Fleet Pro €300/mo or €3,000/yr for 10 vessels. Data never deleted on expiry. The Fleet Dashboard is free for up to 3 vessels. You get a multi-vessel compliance overview with Red/Amber/Green status for every lifting appliance, a due-date calendar for load tests and thorough examinations, and a clause-by-clause SOLAS II-1/3-13 gap checker per equipment item. When you upload documents while logged in, the AI automatically extracts equipment data and populates your fleet records. Need more than 3 vessels? Fleet Pro gives you up to 10 vessels for €300/month or €3,000/year (2 months free on annual). Your data is never deleted - if a subscription expires, extra vessels are simply hidden until you resubscribe.

Drafts under IMO §3.5.2.1, authenticated by Class Surveyor. Same workflow as naval architecture firms.MarineDocsAI operates as a Competent Third Party under IMO MSC.1/Circ.1663 §3.5.2.1. All documents are delivered as drafts and must be authenticated by a Class Surveyor before they carry regulatory weight. We provide the technical content and formatting; the surveyor provides the official stamp. This is the same workflow used by traditional naval architecture firms. We simply accelerate the documentation phase.
Manufacturer doesn't exist? What if my equipment manufacturer no longer exists?
§3.5.2.1 specifically allows Competent Third Party reconstruction. SoC names original manufacturer + status. This is exactly the problem we solve. MSC.1/Circ.1663 §3.5.2.1 specifically allows a Competent Third Party to produce operation and maintenance manuals when the original manufacturer is defunct, merged, or unreachable. Our Statement of Compliance names the original manufacturer, states their status, and cites the regulatory authority for the reconstruction.
How accurate is the AI?How do I know the AI-generated content is accurate?
3 layers: ontology mapping → factual grounding → 14-clause QC check. Full audit trail per order.Every document goes through three verification layers. First, a structured maritime ontology maps your specific equipment type to the exact regulatory clauses that apply, so the AI doesn't guess. Second, a factual grounding checker verifies load test formulas and inspection intervals against deterministic engineering rules. Third, a 14-clause QC check (plus equipment-type-specific checks) validates completeness. You can view the full audit trail for any order: sources consulted, grounding score, and QC results.
What do I need to start? What do I need to get started?
Whatever you have - photo, scan, partial manual, voice note. We flag missing items with placeholders.Whatever you have. A photo of the equipment nameplate, a scan of an old certificate, a partial manual, or even just a voice description of the equipment. Our AI extracts the specs automatically. You review and confirm before we generate. Don't have everything? No problem, we flag what's missing with placeholders that can be confirmed during the on-board survey.
